"Boylan you were a good man. Cheers in the after life! Love" - Mike Gray

"Dad, It was an honor to be your son. Thank You for everything! I will cherish my memories of you until the day I die. We love you, Take care and Good-bye, dear father"... Willis "the kid" Preston

"As I climb a mountain later today, mountains not far from the Smokies Boylan and I traversed decades ago, I'm sure the sweat will be mixed with a few tears. I saw your father only once in the last ten years, but I miss him greatly. A part of me is gone. Sadly,"... Paul Heine

"Boylan, I never had so many unique experiences with one person. Almost ten years together in the Philippines and buddies for almost twenty years. The stories are endless and priceless! I will treasure the memories and share our unique stories when I can. You are the Philippines to me and my trips there will never be the same. You will be with me always! I love you bro!" ... Daryl Clark

"Da Boy-lan" was the man. He outdid us all in his love for the Philippines and the contributions he made to the community where he chose to spend the rest of his days. My memory of him is holding court with his depraved pals (it was my honor to be among them) at the "hotdog stand" outdoors on Del Pilar on more than a few sultry Manila evenings. There would be about 20 or 30 empty San Migs on the table and more on the way. The "hotdog stand" is gone now and so too, now, is Boylan. It's the end of an era. My regards to old amigos that I haven't seen or talked to in a very long while. Boylan would have wanted it this way--bringing the crew back together, just one more time. Hasta karon Tuan." ...
